A Father-Son Orthodontic Team
Dr. Joseph M. Viechnicki and Dr. Bryon J. Viechnicki are a father-son team of orthodontists. If you are accustomed to a one-doctor practice, we think that you will appreciate the benefits of being cared for by two orthodontists. One benefit is getting an immediate second opinion before you begin treatment, so you feel comfortable with your decision to start treatment. Another benefit is consistent communication at each appointment, so that you feel informed about what is going on throughout treatment.
The Drs. Viechnicki each received 2 years of additional education beyond dental school to become orthodontists. As such, they are nationally recognized as specialists in tooth-movement and the guidance of facial development.
Dr. Joseph M. Viechnicki earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pennsylvania State University. He graduated from Temple University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery, a Certificate in Orthodontics, and a Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Bryon J. Viechnicki earned his Bachelor of Science in Honors Physics from Bates College. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine. During his postdoctoral training at Temple University, he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology. His academic interests and numerous awards are available for reference in his curriculum vitae. Dr. Bryon is also an attending professor in the postgraduate orthodontic clinic at Temple University.
Continuing Education
Dr. Joseph M. Viechnicki became a board certified orthodontist through pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence and a voluntary examination process by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Viechnicki Orthodontics is a Preferred Provider of Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen®, and we have been trained in the Damon® System.
Professional Organizations
The Drs. Viechnicki maintain memberships with professional organizations that advocate for healthy teeth in Bethlehem, PA and Kutztown, PA. They are contributing members of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the International Association for Dental Research.

They will help you make your first appointment and are available to assist you throughout your orthodontic treatment. One of the most appreciated asssistances they provide is their flexibility with scheduling convenient appointments.
Heather, Lisa, and Megan make your orthodontic visits fun. Through teamwork and excellent communication, our clinical assistants have created a remarkably cheerful environment. Parents appreciate that the clinical team keeps them in the loop. Patients feel comfortable because of a combination of personal attention and the assistants' gentle orthodontic care. Cheryl is our in-office laboratory technician.
